Classic Machine Quilting
If you're looking for HAND-GUIDED MACHINE QUILTING with experience, I provide a professional service at a very reasonable price. Repetitive patterns are generally quilted over the entire quilt top; however, the borders can be quilted with a different pattern if you choose. My goal is to complete your quilt according to your wishes. At your request, I will also finish the edges of your quilt so it will be ready to use. Dacron 3.3 oz. batting is available; however, if you like the antique look and feel in your quilt, I carry HOBBS HEIRLOOM PREMIUM COTTON BATTINGS (80% cotton/20% poly and 100% organic cotton) and HOBBS DOUBLE THICK 100% COTTON BATTING at a nominal charge per yard. All battings in stock are at least 96" wide up to 110" wide ranging from $4.00 to $15.00 per yard.
CUSTOM QUILTING IS NOW AVAILABLE on my new Gammill Classic Quilting Machine. I'll be glad to discuss design wishes, batting choices, and prices to create your one of a kind heirloom treasure. Custom quilting includes outline quilting and stippling. Other styles include cross-hatching, Baptist Fan, circles, and fabulous feathers of all sizes and styles.
Border quilting can be a different design used only on the borders, feathered scrolls, leaves, or any other pattern you like can be used.
Occasionally I have inquires about DOUBLE KNIT TOPS AND RECYCLED BLUE JEAN TOPS. I know these fabrics will out last me, but unfortunately, they have been an extremely expensive disaster on my quilting machine; therefore, I am no longer able to quilt them.

I can assure you that throughout the process of quilting and finishing your treasured quilt top, I will dedicate my time and effort to make it a beautiful quilt that you will be proud to display in your home or give as a gift or family heirloom.

I have many, many quilt patterns on hand. I can custom design borders and block insets. I study the current styles and periodically attend training classes to update my skills. To keep updated with the popular trends in quilting, I also subscribe to several periodical publications.
Remember, my quilting is not computerized, it is hand guided, resulting in some variance in repetitive patterns. I make every effort to clip and trim threads, but occasionally will miss one, so please check your quilt.
PREPARING YOUR QUILT FOR MACHINE QUILTING
* You do not need to baste or pin your
quilt.
* Press the quilt top and backing
* If you are sending the batting,
please prepare the batting as necessary per mfg. instructions.
BINDING
All of the binding is completely machine stitched. I make
a double binding and then sew the binding to the front of the quilt. I
then fold the binding over to the back and finish stitching from the back. The binding
can also be sewn on the front of the quilt for you to hand-finish.
THREAD
I can use white or natural thread on your quilt. I also
have a large selection of colors and can try to match the color of your
quilt. If I have to special order your thread, I will contact you and
there will be an additional charge. There will be a charge of $1.00 per
double bobbin.
BATTING
I have several battings available including bonded 3.3 oz. Dacron batting.
If you prefer the antique look I also have Hobbs 80/20 Heirloom Cotton Classic, Hobbs Organic 100%
Cotton, or Hobbs Linda's Choice Double Thick 100% Cotton. All battings are
96" to 110" wide.
If you have a batting type that you prefer, you are welcome to provide it.

Prices are figured by the square inch (length X width X price
per square inch)
RUSH ORDERS
Please add $ 25.00. Due to the number of quilts in line
currently the normal turn around time can run from 3 to 6 months. If you
find yourself in a rush to have your quilt back much sooner I'll do my best to
rush it through and get it out within 2 to 4 weeks; however, there will be a
rush order charge added.
